Barbara Diderichs knits. She always has done so, ever since learning in childhood. Knitting was part of family life, sitting together in the evening. And knitting has remained part of her life. Always wearing a new creation of her ideas, it is visible for everybody meeting her.

You rarely see her without her own knitted accessories, and each item offers a wealth of design: an apricot cap, warm gloves inspired by Norwegian patterns, or a precious jacket knitted from the finest mohair wool.

Barbara has an intuition for combining her unfailing sense of style: her light but vibrant colors, the best quality of wool she uses. Her manual dexterity is combined perfectly with her sense of creativity.

New ideas and inspiration come from her family life as well as being out in nature – walking with her dog through the forest, rowing on the Rhine at the beginning of a day. Spending time at the seaside or in the mountains puts her in a pleasant mood to create her designs. Looking at her creations, one can directly feel the influence nature has on her work. Her materials, her colours and patterns reflect the importance of nature to her.

Her handcrafted pieces are made of pure wool of the best quality. Her creations reflect her own personal style: comfortable to wear, but not commonplace. They are plain, but stand out with their elaborate details, refined design, and comfortability, always complementary to those who wear them.

Barbara Diderichs is working together with well-known yarn manufacturers and is constantly designing creations like pullovers, skirts and dresses for exhibitions. Furthermore, she is publishing in important fashion magazines.
